Today, we celebrate the Independence Day of Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone has embarked on an ambitious programme of modernizing the nation based on AI, blockchain, cloud computing, digital skills training programmes and digital identities, nanotechnology, and an upgraded communications infrastructure. Its ambitious programme aims to enable its citizens to be an increasingly active part of the global digital economy, step by step bridging the digital divide inside the country and lifting its citizens out of poverty through means of modern technology.
